Flush deck

Is there a clean way of making the deck flush on a 1990 s10 with doing minimal cutting to the vents that sit behind the deck. Thanks for any info

 Hopefully you have one without A/C! Otherwise, cutting is really the only way to do it. A great help is Metra's 99-4544 dash kit; it has various depth noseplates, but still, cutting is going to be your only way to get it totally flush.

Also, be sure and seal up any cuts in the ducts to eliminate any heat and/or cold from blowing directly on your deck!
