As stated in the wiring information "Lock requires a negative trigger, and unlock requires a negative trigger through a 1.5 Kohm resistor. Must use relays..." I'm wondering why I need to use relays, and how I would accomplish this?

Thanks in advance for your help

For solid Ground and also now most system have - and + triger switching between lock in unlock ...and it won't work
use Two relay ..don't use 87a pins..
both relays 86 goes to (+),30 both relays goes to Ground
85 on both will be going to Brain lock, unlock out put..lock relay 87 goes to lock wire, unlock 87 goes with 1.5K resistor in series to unlock wire in car

Ok thanks, I think I've got it, but can someone verify what Mr. Tech stated with maybe better English.

Thanks again.

Lock requires a negative trigger, and unlock requires a negative trigger through a 1,500 ohm resistor. Must use a relay for the unlock output since it uses a resistor.
So you can just tap the white wire with the negative lock output from your alarm, and then use the negative unlock output to pin 85 of a relay, pin 86 to 12v+, 830 to a 1500 ohm resistor, then to the white wire on the grand am, and 87 to ground.
This is not a big deal but You have to close doors to lock with a single pulse.

Is it necessary to to use a relay for the lock output from the alarm, or just go straight to the white wire? You said basically the same thing as Mr. Tech, but reversed the ground and the lock output from the relay... is there a difference? Jrilla, do you have an email address I can send you a sketch of what I think needs to be done?

Again, I thank you and please bear with me.

Copy and paste this into a new window and look at the diagram in the upper right corner of the page.

Man,
I loved the diagram on the sliding door with single channel. That's awesome.

Ok. I've wired according to the diagram, and my doors will only lock, they will not unlock. Do I need to install diodes anywhere?
