decent amp?

I have the abillity to buy an MTX ta92001.... it is 3000watts rms at 1ohm...
and 2000watts rms at 2 ohms...
i figured if I run the 15" l7s i can get dual 2 ohm models and run my amp at 2 ohms and not push the max out of the amp. should let it run cooler and more efficient.
lets just say i can get this amp for 250 used from an idiot who only had it running some 9500 10"s....
If you cant here it a block away then I didnt do it....
