Hello all,

I have an 05' Pathfinder and I want my factory driving lights to work with the parking lights instead of just the headlights. I have checked and could not find a realy for them just the fuse. Can I just run a wire from my parking lights to the driving light and have them work that way or is there a relay I am not finding and need to go from there?

Any help would be great.

The easiest way would be to go to the underhood fusebox.

Start by removing the 20 amp foglight fuse. Plug a spade connector into the fog light side of that fuse socket. This is the side that will turn on the fog lights if you put a positive power to it. Bring this wire under the dash just to the right of the steering column. Connect this to pin 30 of a standard 30 amp relay. Make sure this wire can handle the current, minimum 16 ga.

Pin 87 of the relay you just added goes to a positive power through a 20 amp fuse.

Pin 86 of the relay to ground.

Pin 85 to the small red parklight wire. This is in a white 6 pin plug containing 5 wires near the steering column. Test it, it will show a positive signal while park lights are on.

Doing the above circuit will automatically turn on the driving lights every time the park lights are turned on. You may add a switch between pin 86 and ground to control it.

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.
