I have a Compustar 2W8000FMR (Canadian version of the 2W9000FMR) installed in my 2004 GMC Envoy.  The alarm kills my battery if the car sits for a couple of days.  The installer tells me that there is no way to disable the alarm so it doesn't turn on when I lock the doors using the fob.  I would like to use the unit for remote start and keyless entry only and never have the alarm turn on.  Anybody know if this is possible?

Thanks.

It shouldn't kill your battery in a few days. Have your battery checked out to see if it's good/holding a charge.

Check to see what the main draw is on the battery. You can start by pulling fuses one at a time till the draw goes away and then you will know what circuit it's on and go from there...

Here is a decent link on how to check the battery draw: http://www.bbbind.com/Bulletins_Attachment/Parasitic%20battery%20draw.pdf
