OK, So I did a RS in a 07 Sierra. (Viper 5900, 1701g bypass/DL interface). all worked well for 2 weeks. customer now sayes the factory key will not start the truck. So....LOONG story short I ended up putting the truck back to stock. RS totally out of it. The truck would start then die after 5 sec or so. So, I unhooked the battery for 30 min (thinking I set a code & with no other way to reset) hooked the battery back up & now it wont crank at all! I tried leaving the key on for 15 min, & nothing. The picture of a car & a lock lights up with the key in the run position. So, I figure the passlock system is activated, and/or the key got booted.

So, how do I get the passlock deactivated/ reprogram the key?

used to be loud, used to be fast...now I am married LOL

Sorry for being a pain but did you unplug the 1701G? Physically pulled the plug out of the 1701G module? Reconnected the brown or yellow wire you cut to install the 1701G?

After doing that, try re-learning the key.

Start by putting a charger on the battery and press the park brake a click or two.

Key on, attempt to start (it should fail), release key and leave key on, wait 12 minutes, turn off ignition, wait two seconds.

Repeat above step up to three times until she starts. (Don't forget to release park brake after a successful start).

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

Kick ass dude! I'll try when I get to work 2day. Yeah, 1701g is totally out of the vehicle, & wiring is back to stock.
