Hey guys, long time no visit (been very busy).
I did find time to trade my 04' bmw 330xi in for an 08' Infiniti G37.
The Bose system in the Infiniti is not very good. The highs are harsh and thin and the bass is bloated and one-note like.
I have Nav, so I don't want to change the head unit. Have any of you installers worked on this car yet? If so, what's the best way to pull a signal for a subwoofer amp from this system (speaker level inputs? the inputs going to the stock bose amp in back?).
Thanks for any advice you can give.
Cheers.

Sweet ride Dude !! I jealous. To get a high quality signal from the speakers ( pre or post amplifier ) I suggest using the REQ5 module. This module allows for a 5 channel output along with a subwoofer level control & a AUX input through a 3.5mm input jack at the level controller. We use these all the time here at the shop and love them. The cost is higher than a normal LOC but this isn't a typical LOC by any means.

Interesting module. I typically don't like devices that mess w/ the sound. Does this just boost the bass, or are there some smarts involved?

if your looking for a bit more than the REQ5,consider Alpine PXE-H650 factory sound processor.............It has a 512-band equalizer..comes with a microphone and the unit will "listen" to your factory system and, analyze the acoustics, customize the sound, and send a clean signal to the aftermarket amps...........but double the price of the REQ5 ,but yet still affordable.

Audison Bit-1 is the pump piece.....
You could also do a Cleansweep in there as well.
Wherever I go, that is where I end up......

Has anyone heard of what people are doing with the front mids / highs in this vehicle? There's a 10" woofer in the doors (probably really shallow), a 3" mid, and a tweeter.
Also, this is a Bose system, does it's amplifier / processing head present any unique challenges?
