I think you're overcomplicating things a bit...what you're trying to do is have a switch like a late model car with a proximity key, correct?
Easier way to do it would be just to have the first pulse go to the Viper's (-) activation input, and also latch a relay setup that would ground the wait-to-start input to the Viper. The second pulse would unlatch that relay setup, causing the car to start and run.
More info to follow...hot date with Ms. Pillow right now.

Hey, I like the idea of simpler! Looking forward to what you have in mind...

Anyone else wanna confirm the validity of my schematic? Will it  work?

Is there a better way?

If I understand correctly, you want to activate ACC and IGN without using the key.

All you need is one toggle switch and two diodes.

Using the 4 pin aux connector on the XCRS relay pack (contains a blue, pink, orange, purple).

Connect a diode with anode towards XCRS on the small pink wire.

Connect a diode with anode towards XCRS on the small orange wire.

Connect cathodes (stripe on diode) of both diodes to a SPST toggle switch.

Connect other pin of SPST to ground.

Flick switch ON for ACC and IGN to be activated.

Also, you may substitute the SPST with an AUX channel of the 791. Program AUX for latch.

May the force be with you.

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

That's good and all, but I'd like to have a little bit of security built into it as well...

I was thinking having the output of the start button go thru the ign disable relay, so when armed, the button is functionless...

And the start as well as the IGN + ACC only fuction need to be from one button...

Maybe I can hook up the stop button to the auto start disable lead, BUT put a capacitor on the connection to the latch, this way I'm sure

the latch isn't still energized 'closed' from the Viper before I unlatch it? Simple enough...
