First off here is a link to it:

I want to install a piezo siren inside my car but I have a few problems. First, in order to program my car, I need to be inside with the ignition turned on and press the override switch which chirps the siren. The only way to install the piezo siren is to run its power wire to the relay I use for the main sirens (have 2 under the hood). In doing so, if I am to program my alarm in the future, everytime I press the override switch, the piezo will chirp thus killing my ears. Then I saw the 528T which says you can set the timer from 0-90 seconds. I did use a test light when I arm and disarm the alarm just to see how long of a pulse the siren gets. The test light on arm blinked once for a split second not even and when I disarm it, the light blinked twice for not even a split second. That tells me that if I was to get the 528T and set its timer to say 3 seconds, than the piezo wont sound unless there is a constant pulse of atleast 3 seconds, meaning the times I arm, disarm, remote start, or program, the piezo wont sound BUT when the alarm is actually triggered, the piezo will sound after 3 seconds. Am I correct on this or is there something I dont know about this?

Just wire it up to see if it works but use a bullet conector on either of the leads so you can simply disconnect when programming! Job done. Sorry I've run out of 528t's

But is it correct that those units have a delay timer on them, meaning that I can delay the time the pulse is needed in order to set off a sensor?

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
