I've been a fan of bi-amping for years... I've just never really done it in a mobile situation until I got my current car.
It used to be an Eclipse setup, with 4 amplifiers, all dedicated channels, and nothing but wire between amplifier terminals and speakers. That was really nice.
Now, an all Alpine system, I don't think I'll ever go back to passives... is bi wiring a 2 way front with a 4 ch amp - Page 2 - Last Post -- posted image. Glad it worked out for you!
Excellent... My evil plan worked... <dave wrings his hands, and giggles in evil glee>
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

You might try changing the slopes (if you haven't already) to match each other. So your mid to high would be at 24db/octave as well as the high pass for the tweeter at 24db/octave. The sub to mid would be at 12 or 18, or whichever you choose.
Theoretically it will be cleaner if everything is right. If you look at the link for ELS posted previously, go to "part two" and read about the summing of the crossovers. You're trying to get everything to sum flat and evenly with matching slopes and levels.
I'm glad it's working well for you so far, I imagine it will only get better.
Just for grins:
I was reading on another forum board where someone asked if going active was a good idea. The responses ranged all over the board but my favorite comment was "I like the warmth of passives better than active crossovers".
Yeah,
I know...
