re audio sx12, power handling?

What do you think this sub can handle? RE says 1000 but im thinking thats just to be safe. Anybody know?

I've been abusing an RE SE off a Zapco C2k-6.0 bridged (1200W) without a problem for the last 3 years. The SX is designed to take more power than the SE. Shouldn't have a problem feeding it some big numbers.
