Hi guys,  I am the proud owner of a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 regular cab short bad 4.7L v8 and six speed manual.   I love the truck and i'm looking into putting an alarm into the vehicle.  Normally I would have just passed on remstart but since most that i've found only offer a 1 mile radius with remstart security models i'm stuck with it.  So I may as well hook it up.  I'm most familiar with DEI products.  Where I work it is who we work with as far as security and convenience go.  We have a nice setup right now through DEI where I can get python products.  Unfortunately not Viper i would have preffered but I can get a Python 990 for 150 $ right now.  For 2 way and 1 mile i'll do that over the equivalent viper.  I know i need the 689M manual transmission neutral safety switch to do this properly so that the remstart can only be done while the vehicle is in safe mode.  (I don't do hackjobs i'm not gonna jerryrig it so that some moron can just press the button and my truck go driving off).  My question is about the bypass kit for factory passive antitheft.  I do not need to worry about the factory alarm.  my truck was custom ordered by me I know it doesn't have it.  I know it has the passive system, which is the chrysler sentry key.  Where I work we do these vehicles frequently but we use the standard 556uw universal that requires a spare key.  I'm ok with taht but to be honest i'm gonna do all i can to avoid that.  For some vehicles mainly newer gm's we have what in our catalog is a 1700G1 which doesn't need a spare key. whic i find rather nice  it's a bit mroe expensive than a 556uw but hey it's still not as pricey as a new sentry key lol.  plus it takes care of the doorlock interface.  My question to you guys is does DEI make a bypass kit that can do this for my Dodge truck.  I looked at their website got slightly confused they had about ten kits listed and quite a few said 0 for keys needed to function.  it said needed keys for program but not permantly inside the box.  Also I'm hoping they have one that can do the doorlock interface as well.  my locks trigger through negative pulse through two different resistances.  Will there be a bypass that can do all this for me and not take a spare key.  If so that pretty much seals the deal for me.  I plan to call DEI and speak with one of their representatives about it.  The guys in our shop will be helping with the install but mainly I want to do this myself.  I'm not an idiot and i do understand things fairly easily so as long as i can find a good way to take care of the factory passive antitheft bypass and the entire 689M module I should be ok.  I may consider installing window mods as well.  they seem rather cool.  All recommendations in addtion to answers are welcome I appreciate it guys.

Ok that sounds like it's exaclty what i'm looking for.  Here's a quick question about one other bypass.  Looking at my wiring and such on directtechs my doors lock and unlock through two different resistors.   Waht about this bypass the XK532 whch has something about door lock interface control.  would that bypass in particular have any benefit over the pkuch2x?
