I'm getting ready to order a viper 2 way alarm. i have the 791xv on my explorer, got that like 3 years ago almost. i like it, so i want the same thing on my MINI cooper. but its a manual, so i dont want remote start. i just want 2 way security.
so should i go with the viper 5002?
next question is, is the viper 791xv i have on my explorer, was that replaced with the Viper 5900 (im looking on DEIs site, and dont see a 791xv)
my friend just got one installed (the blue remote, not that new viper 7900 color remote) and his has a longer antenna than my old 791xv, has the 1 mile range. does the 5002 come with that much range?

the 5900 is pretty much the same unit as the 791 except it's got about 2 1/2 times the range and yes, the antenna is longer on the 5900 remote.... 5002 wont have as good of range.... i usually use a 5900 on a standard and just defeat the R/S feature from working....
