Have a Viper 690XV 2-way responder alarm with a DEI remote start module- plus glass break sensor. I want to add a DEI 530T for front windows and a DEI 530T for sunroof (not 529T, want 1 touch operation)
1 additional channel for remote front windows + 1 additional channel for sunroof down- auto windows closed on system armed.
2 more channels total to be added.
Not sure how to add channels to the unit or how to program responder 479V button combo's to each channel.
Right now the responder can 1) Unlock 2) Lock 3) Remote Start 4) Pop trunk.
Questions:
1) how do I add channels to the alarm and how do I know what channel that is?
2) Which responder combination's for the 479V correspond to those channels?
3) Do I need a DEI channel expander or will this system handle this as configured?
I am sure this is easy, but it is not clearly explained anywhere.
Any thoughts are appreciated!!

First, go to www.directed.com and download the owner's guide. Read it cover to cover - it'll show you how to use extra channels on remote.

Second, follow this link for the install guide. 690XV INSTALL

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

Thanks for the links. I already had the installation manual, however the Owners manual was the missing link in my research.
It appears that this answers MOST of my questions.
Instead of adding a channel expander, I will opt to upgrade the unit to a Python 990 (Viper 5900) to get additional range and simplify the install.
I will start another thread of tips on the best way to upgrade the 690XV w/ add-on remote start to an all-in-one Python 990 alarm solution.
