i am frustrated by the fact that i have 180 some fl ounces of resin yet they still put the formula for mixing resin and hardener in single ounces and drops... does anyone have a larger formula for making  a batch of about 15 fl oz or so without counting out 180 something drops of hardener?  i dont really wanna have to sit there and count those.  a perfect ratio for large batchs would be nice...you would think that they would think of that at the company...perfect mixing formula large batchs? -- posted image.

they probably do it because you have such a limited time to work with it that it doe snot make sense to make up a huge batch.  If you want to do a big batch why not just do a little math.  figure out your quantities in meausurable amounts instead of drops for the hardener and then just multiply it by the ratio of small recipe tyo large recipe you want to do.  So if you use 50 drops for 4oz resin and 50 drops is 5ml then just do 10ml for 8oz or 15ml for 12.

If you buy a gallon of polyester resin it will come with 2 tubes of hardener. The mix ratio is 1:1, meaning the 2 tubes will do 1 gallon of resin.
You do 1/2 gallon batch (which is way to large) you will use 1 full tube of hardener.
You do a 1/4 gallon batch (still very large) you will use half a tube of hardener.
You do a 1/8 gallon batch (decent amount of resin) you will use 1/4 a tube of hardener.
The hardener tubes have measurements on the side, use them.
Unless it raises the hair on the back of your neck, its only noise!
