I'm doing an install of some sound dampening material in the trunk of a 89 Caprice Classic. The customer has 2 JL 12W7's and 2 500/1 the output of the subs seems awfully weak. I haven't pulled the box out to check out how the amps are configured but it just seems so weak. I've had plenty of experience with W7's before and even one was never this quiet. The box seems really small for 2 W7's as well it's 33X16X15 sealed enclosure. I want to build a new box because well that's more money in my pocket but is this an optimum enclosure for two W7's? Of course he wants maximum output, so i'm thinking ported?

maximum output...well with that power I'd do oversized ported enclosure.
With 500 watts to each sub I wouldn't worry with damaging the subs because of the oversized enclosure.
