I installed a VIper 791xv in my 2004 G35sedan about 3 years ago and everything was working fine. Then the alarm brain took a dump and I had to disconnect it to be able to drive the car. I have since replaced the brain with a newer version 791xv (it now has the comfort closure feature).
Everything works as it should except for the remote start.
When you engage the remote start, the car cranks, starts and immediately shuts down.
I have done the following:
-performed the tach learning routine
-tried the remote start with the key in the ignition (RS still fails)
-tested hood switch and Neutral saftey switches (car wont crank when conditions are not met)
I also discovered that the turbo timer feature does not work either. There is no response when pressing * and aux with the engine running.
I'm currently at a loss. I have not made any wiring changes from when I was using the old brain.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

are you disabling the bypass when you try to remote start with the key in the ignition?

if the vehicle detects 2 keys in the transponders range, it will not allow a a start (same as remote starting without a key at all).

nissans are picky just like hondas and fords

Why don't you do a shutdown diagnostics, see what is the shutdown code.

Check the brake wire and make sure its not getting a 12v spike.  On top of that make sure that it did learn the tach signal.  EIther you get a clicking sound from the 791 brain and the LED goes on solid.  Don't think its a bypass issue since it started up and then shutt off.  I believe it would crank but not start if it was the bypass
