Hey, Im about to re-wire a cd player into my friends cobalt, he did it himself and it killed his battery.

My guess was maybe a freyed wire to power the amp from the batter was touching the remote wire, or the remote wire input was connected to the wrong wire, which neither is the case.

Im not really familiar with the chevy setup, but my other guesses are the acc. wire was connected to the 12v constant.

Besides that, is there anything anything anyone can suggest? the wiring harness is a little different than im use to. It has a little unit that a red and black wire go in, and a pink, yellow, and black wire come out,

any comments/rants welcome

Are you installing a new CD player or an Amplifier?
