I commute alot and love music so here is what I've done with my little commuter bucket.........

*Alpine 9886 Head Unit with iPOD & XM

*Front Speakers- Alpine SPR 17s (Type-R 6.5" Seperate)

*Rear Speakers- Morel Tempo 5.25" Seperate

*Both Amplified by a Alpine PDX 4.100 (100w x 4 @ 4 ohms)

*2nd set of rears are Rockford Fosgate Punch Power 6 x 8's powered by a Kicker 150.2 (2 b upgraded later to another seperate and better amp)

*Sub's- Two- JL Audio W3 v3 Twelve inch woofers

*Powered by a Alpine MRD-1005 (1000w x 1 @ 2 ohms)

*I mounted the woofers in seperate boxes, I prefer sealed enclosures and minus displacement they have 1.15 cu. ft. of airspace each. I built the boxes out of 3/4 mdf, I predrilled and counter-sunk screws 2 inches on center. I'm also running two Interstate deep cycle batteries under the hood and am planning on ordering a slightly higher output alternator...........All in time I'm broke’94 Ranger Work Truck -- posted image.

I don't do this for a living I'm a Union Carpenter but this is my hobby, any suggestions for improvement will be appreciated.

Will post pics in a few, waiting for my camera battery to charge

I can still use the factory pull-out cover (look at the top of the sub box) to hide my stuff, I've also added power door lock actuators and a alarm (gotta have keyless entry!, Plus I park in tha garage.....
