relay, neons

So I wrote to Megaman who provided me the following: I wanted a kind of over-ride switch for the neon so I could turn it on directly if I was feeling evil ^-^. After reconnecting the car's battery, the dome light and the neon comes on but after the dome light circuit goes off, my neon starts flickering instead of going off. So it never goes really off. When I trigger the switch, the neon comes on fully, turning off the switch, the neon doesn't go off either and remains flickering. Help, please?

There is no pinswitch in that diagram.   What kind of vehicle do you have?
