I am going to be making a fiberglass enclosure in the back of a pickup. I wanted to make the fiberglass fit perfectly inside of the back but the problem is I can't fiberglass in the truck. Is there something that you guys use that gives you a mold or something that will keep it's shape when you take it out of the truck?
Basically, I am looking for something that I will be able to put in the truck to get the shape. Then I want to be able to take it out and fiberglass over the mold. Any ideas?

industrial strength aluminum foil would work.I use it to glass inside the car, but it would work the same outside if your careful and dont lose the shape.

If you made a mold for a exact fit You would not be able to install the fiberglass enclosure once you have it built you would be able to bend it to get it back under bed rails. I would build a frame from MDF with finder

wells boxed in and sides up to bed rails with 1/8" or less gap around edges then you could lift out frame

and fiberglass it all in with what ever sub space or spaces needed. I hope i was understanding you correctly

in what you were asking. If not sorry

My wife thinks bagging a truck means you kick it in the truck nuts

I'm actually going to be putting the enclosure under the back seat not in the bed.

u need to get a butt load of wide masking tape and put at least three layers on the interior over the area u want to fiberglass.  overshoot the area a little to be safe then use plastic sheeting to protect the rest of your ride.  resin is nasty stuff.  this way, u get a perfect fit when the fiberglass sets up.  also, dont forget th coat the area with some mold release agent.  there are some pretty good tutorials on youtube if u want to check them out.  good luck.

Yea what he said...Tape the area off real good. Then use spray glue on top of the tape. Get some aluminum foil from the kitchen and put a layer down over the sticky tape. This foil is your mold release and it works great. I think it works better than PVA cause theres hardly no clean up.
Mix up some resin first and put a wet coat over the alum foil. While you wait for it to kick, be ripping your mat into 2 inch squares. When the resin is in the sticky state (sticky but doesn't transfer to your fingers) apply your squares. Mix more resin and apply to the squares just enough to get the white out. DON'T SOAK THEM DOWN!!!! That makes it brittle, just enough to get the air out. Also don't apply the next layer of squares until your resin is in the sticky stage. If you let it dry past the sticky stage then you really need to scuff the surface before the next coat.
Good Luck!
