Anyone know the impedance of the factory speakers? Trying to decide if an integration harness or wiring to the factory speakers is going to cost less. I need to bid this job right away.

3 ohm.  If the factory amplifier is directly behind the AC controls, you can bypass the amp and go direct with the standard harness.

you'll see the bolt for the factory amp right under the radio after its removed. After you take it out you can use the 70-1784 plug like normal.

i think he meant 70-1761 its a metra part number, 70-1784 is a vw harness , best kits(aamp) is bha-1761.  But metra lists an amplifier bypass harness, and in the instructions for that truck it says that the amp is in the back of the truck on the rear wall, passenger side. The metra amp bypass part number is 70-8117
