Hello all, I have a CodeAlarm CA670 and would like to have my strobes flash when the alarm triggers.  I currently have the strobe hooked to a SPST switch, one leg have 12v with 3 amp fuse and the other leg connects to the strobe control wire.

I guess I have to have a relay setup that triggers from the CA670 Siren and latch untill the siren quit receiving its signal/pulse or I disable from remote/unlock door/s?

Can someone help me with a relay setup that could accomplish this or suggest a better way.

Thanks

You could install a relay on the siren output - I'm not sure if CodeAlarm uses a + or - siren output.

If it is a + output then wire it like this:

Pin 85 - + siren output

Pin 86 - ground
Pin 30 - 12vdc
Pin 87 - siren and strobe output

If it is a - output then wire it like this:

Pin 85 - (-) siren output

Pin 86 - 12vdc
Pin 30 - 12vdc
Pin 87 - siren and strobe output

The only issue here is that when the siren chirps during arm and disarm the strobe will flash.  You may be able to tie the (-) when armed wire in to the mix to elimite the strobe from flashing on disarm.

Thanks, will give it a go and let you know.  You just gave me an idea when you mentioned the (-) when armed output, I might be able to find a similar wire when disarm as I have a 06 escalade EXT with this alarm and whenever I unlock the doors it turns all my accerories on, radio ect.

Thanks again
