Has anyone built their own key less entry mechanism for their canopy, or does anyone know of a commercially available mechanism that works with a rotary latch for a canopy? I have an A.R.E. canopy that I would like to add Key less entry to.

By canopy you mean a trailer?
What kind of electrical system does it have?

You'll need a linear actuator to rotate the handle.

I am talking about a CAP, which is most commonly know as a truck canopy, not exactly a camper shell as that is a self contained house on the back of truck. Leer offers a keyless entry mechanism for some models of their canopies, and they use a door lock actuator to lock it. I am not sure how they do it though.

I've never heard a cap referred to as a "canopy" before...the word canopy makes me think of military tents or treetops.
As far as a keyless entry, I think that if you have a central lock cylinder and a T-handle there's no good way to add an actuator...you'd have to purchase a complete power locking mechanism.
