Customer with older Alpine Radio CDA-9811. Got him xm direct2 tuner and the alpine AI-Net Cable and I go to program the unit and the 9811 is not listed. Anyone know if I can program a certain radio, such as 9830, 31 or so and it will work? Its for my Brother and he lives in Iowa and I'm in Louisiana. I hate to program it for one, ship it and he install it and it not work. I can't believe they are going to cut out the older radios ability to recieve XM Radio.
Thanks
George

Call Bubba tomorrow, if he doesn't know he can find out for you. They have been doing lots of them at Siegen. I have a 9815 in my car. It should be the same as the 9811. If you need to come to town to check it, let me know a day in advance.

you have xm on your 15? I was told thru IML that you can program like an old one and it would work.. Called Audiovox and they said that Alpine developes the software and they have nothing to do with it.. I told they guy well you build the damn thing! Called Alpine and they said 'ah, different software, no way it will work.. gonna have to find an old XMD1000 or original Alpine XM tuner' told him gee thanks, you've been so helpful.. like they always are.
I'll call bubba tomorrow..
thanks..
Me and the kid will be in town on the 18th.. has to go take a hunter safety field course.. be able to climb in a stand by himself this year!

I do not have XM, I was just letting you know that if they said they had a program to work for you, you could program the piece and come try it on my deck before you sent it to Iowa.
