well even though i wish i could take the credit i cant. lol. a friend of mine at the shop built it for me. and yes its that rhino liner. sprayed with a paint gun. although theres an easier way to do it, there is a roll on kind that you use a paint roller and looks the same. oh yea and that explorer peaked out at a 148.1 with the amp at 1 ohm. now im building my system back in an escort! thats right an escort! lol

So what you have is a class AB amp. This class of amp from the outset is not forgiving at all for heat. The longer and louder it is played, the sooner it is going to hit it's thermal limit. This is what is happening to you. Want to make a significant difference? Take the amp back and invest in a class D 4 channel amp like the ones from Pioneer Premiere, Eclipse or Alpine. From the start they will draw less current than a class AB, provide more power if the amp has the same current draw (by a large margin) and of course, operate at a much cooler temperature. End result, for you guys that want to play it long and loud, a class D amp is a great way to go.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
