I believe my remote turn on wire is fried on my head unit. I do not wish to replace the unit. So can anyone tell me how to create or make or buy a device that will give me a remote turn on for my amps, processors, etc?

is there an antenna wire also? you can use that, also if you wanted to splice into an accessory wire and put a toggle switch on it and then to your amp, you could manually turn it on from the dash

this little baby can fix you right up. just tie into your speaker wires to trigger it

The Trunk-LOC is the same as the SNI-35 below but with a low voltage trigger built into it. The low voltage circuit senses voltages as low as 0.8 volts and gives you a 12 volt output with a one second delay.

• Trigger off of speaker leads or +5 volt remote wires.

• Remote turn on for aftermarket amplifiers in vehicles without a factory remote wire.

• Eliminates turn on pops in amplifiers.

That is a pretty good idea there, I wish I had known about that piece a couple weeks ago.

Why do "you believe" the turn on out put is toast?

Have you tried using it to trigger a relay?

You need to go into greater detail as to WHAT your trying to turn on.

On most heads, the antenna is only ON when the radio is.... plug in a cd.... no dice!!

Not only that, but you can ALWAYS just use the accessory (red) lead on your deck... (the car side) that way when the key is on, the amps are too... If you go this way, be sure you fuse it, as it will be NOT current limited by a transistor inside the deck.

...but there is no need to actually purchace an accessory.
