6 cubic foot ported enclosure

I want to build a 6 cubic foot ported enclosure for one 18" the enclosure will be going in to my 2001 oldsmobile alero. Anybody have a suggestions or have built one before! (plans)

I have only built a few small sealed boxes in my time.

the box size i came up with is 24"x24"x24"

Using 3/4 inch material, a box with those outside dimensions would have an internal volume of 6.5 cubic feet.  Can you fit an enclosure of that size into the trunk of that car?

i went with 1 inch material so its 6.16204 cubic foot internal. it will fit almost perfectly  

How big is a box that measures 24x24x24.... ?   it certainly  is not 6 cu.ft

Am I THAT bad with math?

with 1" material. it's 22" x 22" x 22" internal volume, minus sub displacement and port displacement, but barring those two things, is 6.16 ft^3.

However, I've never seen a 2' high box fit inside a alero.

I must be THAT bad too.  I had to do the math, thinking it was going to be huge, 8 cubic outside dimensions, then when you think about it, around 3/4 sheet of material.    Using 3/4 material it was 6.5.
