Ok, odd problem, I have done some research and tried some of the more common things listed, but I want to try and find out where to proceed from here.
I have a viper 5900 installed on a chevrolet colorado crew cab. It remote starts locks and unlocks fine. the window modules (2 530T's) also function with no issue.
When I lock or unlock the door, the remote pages back that the door is locked. When I remote start, the remote shows that the vehicle is running. The problem is, when the alarms going off, it does not register at the remote until I hit one of the buttons on the remote, then it starts beeping and the hammer icon shows up. Also, when i remote start it and do a key takeover, the little puff does not go away either, until I hit a button on the remote.
I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction, I have tried unplugging the brain and letting it reset, nothing. I tried unplugging the antenna and letting it sit, nothing, and relearning the remote did no good either.
It is my initial thought that either the antenna or the transmitter are no good, but I am not ruling out the brain being bad. What should I do next?

is it possible you have paging programmed off?  sounds like it to me.....  if paging is programmed OFF it will only poll the vehicle if you press a button on the remote.....

press the P button on the back of the remote for about 5 seconds until you hear a long beep... then press the * button to toggle between paging on and off....
