I need alot of help. I just put in a Mannix SM700 2way fm alarm with remote start, into my 88 civic dx, manual transmission. I know it can work because my clutch is already grounded, I can start the car without putting the clutch in. I've alread heard all the stuff how you shouldn't do remote start with manual transmission, but I'm not worried about that. I just need help. I think I have it all wired up properly. But the remote start wont start the cat. I can start it with the key. And the delayed shut off works, cause I can pull out the key and the engine will still one for 1 min. I have the tach sensor runing off the ecu wire that says 4.8 volts ac. I have the emergancy brake wire hooked up right. Can anyone give me any advice before I scrap this thing or spend the bunch of money to take it to a shop and get laughed at by them for trying to hook it up myself. Thank you for anyone who can help me.

I'd start by putting your DMM (or whatever you're using) on the starter wire to determine if you're getting output when you engage the remote start. I'm not at all familiar with your brand of remote start, but on certain ones, you might have a wire that needs to sense a ground pulse before it engages the remote start. This is especially true with remote starts made for manual tranny cars. Does it have a wire that needs to be hooked up to an emergency brake or something.

Because you can engage the delay start indicates that you at might at least have the ignition wired correctly.

I don't know what you mean by the DMM wire. But yes it requires to be hooked up to the emergancy break and it is. I'm going to a shop today to see what might be done. I don't know. Thanks for you help though.
