One final question.  I've hooked up everything and even tested out the system and set sensitiviy of all sensors (radar, impact and glass).

The system works flawlessly until (and it took an hours of troubleshooting to isolate this) you plug in the door pin triggers.  Now, I know

from Jeff's outline above that there are two wires, blk/red and blk/grn, located on top of the fuse box.  I HAVE diode isolated these lines
with 1A diodes and they are connected to the correct input on the alarm, all polarities match.  But I still get false alarm indications or
constant alarms.  Is there a little bit better explanation of these door pin wires and their location, because there are about seven
different sets of wires up there that match this description.  Or is it multimeter, open door, close door time (please, god, no!)?

You will need to double isolate the door triggers then. Wire in parallel , you can also use a 3 amp diode as well and parallel it to the trigger for a combined 6 amps.

All seems to be working well now... I'm going to start programming in a few minutes.  But first...

I have some interior neon, all hooked up through relay.  I'd like to have it all come on automatically when I turn on the vehicle lights, but not to blink when the alarm arms or disarms.  What's the best wire to use as a trigger for the relay to turn on the neon?  Probably one of the wires on the Cougar's light control switch on the dash, but which one?

Use the headlight wire to activate a relay for the neon.
