'09 Econoline should have a PURPLE / white in the drivers kick for p. lights. +. If anyone finds it please confirm.

Kassdog, I did some research. Let us know if the rest of this makes sense.

Domelight  (alarm trigger (In drivers kick)) = gray/violet + / Dome supervision (on when disarmed) GREEN/ blue @ dimmer switch.

lock = gray / YELLOW - / unlock = violet/gray - (in drivers kick)

Ignition wires (at switch): 12v constant = blue/red x 2, Ignition 1 = ORANGE / white, 1st Acc = PURPLE / green, 2nd Acc = BROWN / yellow, Starter = blue/white,

Horn = blue/white (neg @ column), Brake = violet/white (@ switch),  P.lights = violet/grey (drivers kick).

Also, Econolines should now be equipped with "smart start", no tach wire needed. Vans ECM knows when to disengage starter, so vehicle will not grind starter (built in anti-grind). You can go tachless with a longer crank time. Please test to varify. This is second hand info.

That anit-grind is a pretty nifty option for OEM.
Ideal - cmon dude, add to topics in a useful manner, not stuff that is obvious.
Story - Phzzzt! Hey, what happened?! ... Isn't it obvious?
Moral - Never dismiss the obvious.

Everything sounds right on your wire colors myinstallguy, did you find those from a tech source or are those from just probing around? If you found them from a tech source I would be interested in knowing through who. I have found no sites with the correct information for that van.

I've been working with the Gen 1 & 2 Ford products for years. I have good ties with some Ford dealers and between thier schematics and probing, I try to stay up to date.

I know there are a few more changes for some 09 Fords in the works (or already in production), like the F-150. I'm going to survey one of them this week. Let me know if you want me to post what I find.
