Hi;
I am installing a remote start on a 2004 Jeep. I am using the idatalink bypass. Hooking the wires from the remote start to the idatalink module is relatively easy. I have a question about hooking the idatalink module to the car though.
It tells me to hook a pink wire to 12v ignition
One wire to ODBII Data Port Pin 2
It then says that a yellow/black wire is for door status neg output. What does this mean? does this hook back up to the alarm portion of the remote start?
Thanks for any help

If you're not doing an alarm you wont need to worry about this wire.  This will just give you the door status output to connect to the alarm system.  Not sure why you would hook up a door trigger on this vehicle for a remote start.
