I have a 07 Silverado Classic Diesel. Remote start is a Viper 5701 with a XK01 installed. Sometimes when it starts, the service brake light comes on (but only when started w/ the remote). I had it installed at a local big box store..but it seems to not work properly.
Any ideas? The guy there had nothin useful to work with.
The unit is set up W2W...should I disconnect those and go D2D?
Thank you, in adavance.

That shop might not have powered up all ignition/accessory circuits at the ignition harness. Does your HVAC come on during R/S? I wouldn't go through the hassle of rewiring for D2D. D2D allows you to hook up say, door triggers for example, through the XK01 via data bus instead of diode isolating each door trigger at the BCM.
I know it may be a hassle, but maybe take it to the same company but a different store to have someone else look at it. They may void any installation warranties if you mess with it, then you are screwed paying another shop to look at! Who installed in BTW?
