A coworker of mine has an AS-1755 installed in his 01 or 02 honda accord. It seems that the tach start isn't programmed correctly as the starter keeps turning without starting the car. We've reprogrammed the tach learn with no luck. Any other suggestions? I forgot to check the actual tach wire to make sure it is still connected or not damaged.
Also, on this model of starter I noticed a "normal" and "high" tach...does the Accord require high or normal?
Any suggestions?

It sounds more like a problem with the immobilizer bypass than with the tach - typically a bad tach signal will cause it to crank, run for 10 seconds and shut off. A Honda that hasn't seen a valid key code will crank and crank and never start because its fuel isn't enabled.

1. Turn the ignition on with the key. Look at all the warning lights on the dashboard. There should be a green one with a picture of a car key. You'll notice that it comes on steady for a few seconds, and then goes out.
2. Turn off and remove the key, and try the remote start. The green key light is supposed to work the same as it did in Step 1. If instead it's flashing, it's because the car isn't "seeing" a valid transponder key.
