ring terminal connections

I am running 4 gauge from my battery to the trunk, question is, if I have the tools to do so should I solder the ring terminals to the wire or just crimp? I always feel better about solder connections not popping off, especially with big gauge stuff that doe not seem to crimp easily

Crimp terminals are meant to be crimped, so if you're using crimp terminals, crimp them. Just solder the end of the wire to the terminal after that...I've seen plenty of people do this for better connections, or simply for peace of mind. And you can crimp 4ga terminals with a pair of Klein crimps, it's just a little tough...and if you don't have a pair, do yourself a favor and go buy a pair from home depot/lowes. They're bout $25-30 after tax. They are by and far one of the most used tools in my toolbox when it comes to car audio and electronics.2003 Chevy Cavalier coupe

I solder all of my power connections...doesn't matter if they are crimp or not
