I was driving the car with the volume at a moderate level and the bass on but low and I parked with the car on idle and looked and my engine temp/stop engine light came on I turned the car off and let it sit for a minute and turned it on drove it for a half hour and the light never came back on any ideas.

Sounds like you need to get your car to a mechanic and have it checked out.

True but I never seen a system cause the cars normal functions go haywire . The only thing ive seen them do is when I had a stock alt, no big 3 and the factory spec battery and some stuff like the power windows/locks wouldnt work untill I turned the bass down. I thinnk the cars ecm/bcm is on its last leg and I'm pushing it off

what makes you think the "system" is causing your car to go "haywire"? what DYohn is trying to say is that there is a problem with your car that has nothing to do with your "system" and that you need to take it to a qualified mechanic/repair shop or GM repair center.

I didn't have my voltometer handy when this all happend but when the stop engine telelight came on and when I turned it on the car started like nothing. And the reason I think its the system is that I don't have any telelights coming on when the radio is off. It only happens when the bass is on

You are only guessing until you go to a mechanic and get your car and your electrical system tested.  Either that, or since you say it only happens when you have your system turned on, then I guess the best answer is to leave it turned off.  can my radio kill the car - Page 2 - Last Post -- posted image.

Thanks I was trying to avoid the shop hoping I could find out and change out the part. I have the feeling its gonna be some rare part that only a midget with a burger king hat has and its gonna cost a arm in a leg. My next step drive a day with no bass check the voltage. Then drive another day with bass check the voltometer and install a voltometer and post the results
