can you fix damaged 6x9's?

I had some good kaption and alpine 6X 9's that received some water damage. they dried over a year but when hooked up hiss alot. Anything I can do to fix these somehow? I tried searching the forums first but didnt really find anything.

If their still hissing after a year, i think its about time to save up for some new speakers.

I mean, you could have numerous things wrong with them after the water got to them. You might have shorted out the voice coils, lead wires, or shot out the crossover. Sorry, but scrap em'.
