I have a 2000 Ford Excursion Diesel with an Astrostart 2006 installed. I purchased a new remote and programed it using dip switch 8 up procedure. I Also replaced the magnetic hood pin switch with a standard grounding type with a 10K resistor. The truck starts with the hood open or switch grounded. I require the level (3 ?) program for the dip switches. Is it the same as an Astrostart 2100? which requires diesel, glow plugs + or -, ignition on between cranks and hood pin normally closed when hood is opened. The Astrostart 2006 installation  manual would help. Thank you.
