Can someone help me with this problem? I'm installing a remote start from DEI Viper 550 ESP to a 1997 Jaguar XK8, problem is the JAG has ( - ) Ignition, ( - )accessory and  ( - )starter. how would I convert it to a ( + ) signal to work with the ( + ) inputs from the alarm. Also where is the door lock & unlock wires at?

You can just make a few modifications to the Viper's existing relay pack. Follow the two thick red wires, the ones with the 30-amp fuses.
You'll see that they go to terminal 30 on all the relays, and then there's a thin red wire with a 3-amp fuse; this goes to terminal 86 on all the relays.
Reconfigure things so that 30 on all the relays sees ground, but all the 86 terminals still see positive. Now, your pink, pink/white, orange, and purple wires will function as negative outputs.
However, there's one more thing you must do. For a number of reasons, the brain of the unit must know when the car's ignition is switched on....this is what the thin yellow wire in the relay pack's ribbon harness is for....but this wire is looking for a positive input.
You can add another relay to convert your car's negative ignition wire into a positive, and then tie the output of the relay directly to the thin yellow wire. (You would cut the yellow wire away from its current spot in the relay pack.) Or, see if you can find a positive ignition wire elsewhere in the car---maybe you'll find a source of ignition at the fuse box...and then you can tie the thin yellow right in there, without the relay.

thanks for the info! someone told me exactly the same thing about reconfiguring the relay harnesses, worked perfectly!!

but, I did have a problem with the brake wire shutdown. the Jag's brake switch has a (+) with the ignition off and (-) with ignition on. how to tie in with alarm's ( +) shutdown wire??

What I did  was , put a valet switch inline with the brown shutdown on one side and 12v to the other side. instead of pressing the brake, you would tap the switch. worked fine..... but wondering about

the (+) & (-) brake switch from car??

thanks again!!
