I took off the alternator of my car to have it checked out and after reinstalling it and reconnecting the battery, the car would not start. There's plenty of power to start at the batter--12.2v--but there's no turning over. I thought that perhaps the remote start system may have been interfering and since I was going to upgrade from the PLJX module to a XK06 module, I decided to take it all out. Still, the car does not start. The Passlock data wire is reconnected and nothing of the alarm is tied into the factory wiring at all. When the key is turned over, I hear a "click" and that's it. While I try to turn it over, the air bag light is on and the factory security light comes on in the instrument cluster. I dont know if this is indicative of anything though since a number of lights seem to come on when the car is started. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance...

Could the starter wire have been connected to the alternator, and it possibly got overlooked when reconnecting the alternator?

You see, this is precisely why I love the12volt.com and donate money!! Genius idea! I found the wire hanging and I'll check it out in the AM (it's dark now and I'm here alone with my daughter atm). Thanks!!

If it is a wire of substantial size, I would be pretty sure that it would be the right wire.
