I was trying to find a picture of any of the old Lanzar amps, before the Optidrive series, back in the early 1990's (around 1991, 92 maybe). Where I lived, they were commonly referred to as the "butterfly amps" b/c of their characteristci heat sink design. I think they were classified as a "Lanzar 50", "Lanzar 100", and so on...

I was not aware that they made anything before the Opti-Drive units.  Now I know why, PPI made the amps you are asking about.  This is the only one shown on AmpGuts.  It appears that the Opti-Drive was the first amps they built themself.  That is when we started selling them.

That's pretty close to it. The old Lanzar 50's and 100's were black. I didnt know that PPI built them originally, especially in 1991. The old Lanzars weren't too bad... the subs were black with a red surround and a white Lanzar logo on the dust cover. I think all this was back during the time of the old Kicker subs that were solid black with gold letters, and maybe around the time of the early MTX Terminator series.

thats a cool page that you linked. I found one of the terminator amps on there... didnt know PPI built those too! I have an art series that I'd love to get repaired one day...

IF you ever make it to the Capitol City, let me know and bring it with you.  I can fix it while you wait.

I know ZED made some Lanzars in the early 90's or so.
Optidrive Series maybe?

I am pretty sure that the Opti-Drive amps were made by lanzar themself. There is a good chance that ZED manufactured the ones you are asking about. I will find out.
Last 2 Paragraphs
I already e-mailed him, if he has pictures of those amps, he will send them to me and I will post them.
