I have a wagon that is my everyday workhorse. I am trying to put a nice stereo in it without losing its hauling capacity (so no sub box in this car). The factory speakers in the car were (4) 4" - the later models had 5" in the rear walls. I have a set of 6x9's in boxes I want to put in the back, and mount them so they are on the sides of the back wheel wells - this way they aren't affected if the back seat is up or down. I also want to make them so I can easily remove them if needed.
The best way I can figure to do this is to have 2 screws in the sides of each wheel wells, with keyholes in the sides of the speaker boxes....so they "hang". If I drill keyholes in the sides of the boxes, will the 6x9's sound suffer? I know of sub internal volumes, sealed, etc. but no idea when it comes to 6x9 3-ways.
Thanks in advance.

probably wont affect the sound at all. if you have your head right next to them you might hear some "wind noise" escaping from the holes, but it not gonna hurt a 6x9.
