If you put the proper power on them then they will probably sound much better. As far as scrapping the whole system that’s up to you. You can either invest more money into this one or upgrade to a new set up. You have to make the decision. But if I was to get new amps I would get some good subs to match. Just curious what are you running for your mids and highs and what powers them?

i have the stock fronts and a pair of pioneer 6x9's for the rear of the radio.
theres not much storage room for aditional amps for the fronts and rears thats y i never redid them, plus i use my truck alot to carry equipment around for working on the weekend DJing so the system is always going in and out of the truck, and if i put amps for the interiors then when i take them out i have no radio
i think im going to buy another us acoustic amp and run 1 amp for each sub
you thinks thats powerful enough right?????
i think it should be fine

I would defiantly go with one for each amp that will give you the proper power rating per sub. Should hit much cleaner not to mention a little louder. If you currently have them wired into a 4 ohm load that means that each sub is only getting 200 watts and you probably get allot of distortion when you turn volume. As far as the enclosure goes sounds like you have the correct volume.  Trust me add a second amp and you will get the sound you’re looking for.

i was thinking of making a amp rack out of aluminum square tubing. and welding it together , i figured its strong and light weight,. i want to builld a whole frame out of it to house the subs, amps and other equipment, and then cover it with aluminum sheets ,bondo sand and paint it now i dont know if i should build a box out of mdf and then bolt it to the frame or just build it out of amumiunum to keep it all light weight, what you guys think of this please letme know thanks also i want to and a little motorization

Your 2 sub amps at max output will use 86 amps (you will probably never come near that) As far as upgrading to a new alternator I know you have a lease so I would add the 2nd amp and see how things go. However I would recommend that get a hi output alternator. As far as capacitors they are not a band aid and will not solve your power problems. But I would suggest 1 farad for each sub amp.  For your amp rack I'm not that good at custom fabrication beyond MDF so can’t help you there although I would love to learn. Might want to make that post in the fiberglass forum on the12volt instead of car audio might have better luck there.

The alternator will cost around $300 and installation should be about an hour labor at a mechanic probably about $50. And they will not notice when you turn the lease in. however I would pull it out and try to sell it rather than give it to them. But like I said before add that 2nd amp and see how things go.
