Customer called again today with problems on his 08 Ram. I installed an Astro 2205 w/ chdl7pk2 last year about this time. It worked perfect all last winter and until last week. His lights started going out while driving and then coming back. Not good at 70mph during deer season. So I unhooked the park lights completely and that seemed to cure that problem. Now his horn his going off at different times and his lights are flashing without any reason. My guess is his bypass kit is screwed but.........what you think?

Possible grounding issues? (I am not sure if the chdl7pk2 has any thing to do with the horn)

Anything is possible, but if the bypass worked for a while I would have to think the problem lies elsewhere.
I agree with investigating the ground too. The module can cause a lot of weird issues with the databus if it induces it's own resistance to the vehicle's databus.
Do you solder your connections? If you don't then I strongly suggest you start soldering, at the very least anything that ties into the vehicle's databus.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

All connections are soldered SOLID and then double taped. Customer did mention something about his horn burning out. That could be causing some grief cause I probably hooked up the horn on that one. Don't anymore. I'm likely to change out the bypass for a new one and disconnect the horn wire. Hopefully that solves some problems.
