I have an idea for you but you may hate it.I used to have a 1972 Super Beetle so i know it will work.Don't destroy your back seat, beetles are beautifull cars but try this, make a sub box and place it under the hood, use a flex tube as a port and bring it under the dash. You will see your friends faces when they will not wanna believe the bass you have coming from the front ...not rear.Let us know what you decided to do,sadly i no longer have my VW .old VW beetle audio help....? - Last Post -- posted image.

i have bee ntold before to put a sub box behind the rear seats? is that not a goos idea?

did you have somponents sets in the front and back? or what

what was the rest of your set up like?

Yes i did have it all under the hood (front hood),you couldn't even tell i had a killer system. In the kicks i had Mb Quarts separates and the subwoofer.I know it can be done ,you just have to kinda customize it a bit,the routing of the flex duct...from hardware store you can buy the stuff they use for laundry dryer (aluminum is better because you can shape it to oval or just leave it round...).Good luck and maybe once done you can post some pictures, what do you say ?
