I have had the autopage alarm in my car for about 3 years, I am wanting to get the remote start working, but have seemed to have a problem. After I had everything hooked up and the transmitter programmed to the best of my knowledge, when I hit the * button to start it, it beeps once and sometimes twice it just depends. But it doesnt start, nor is there no voltage coming from the purple wire when the button is pushed.

year make and model please. flashing twice is supposed to indicate voltage at the brake shutdown wire or neutral safety switch fail. have you grounded your neutral safety wire? (BLACK/ white wire) according to my rs 725 manual. flashing once indicates hood pin seeing ground.
