arc audio amp on harley

If it says 8 gauge then thats what you should use. When you run a smaller wire than you should, your risking of burning up your amp or even setting the power wire on fire. Now im not recommending this but if you WERE to use 10 gauge, id make sure you get a higher end wire from a car audio store and not some cheap thing you can get at your local radio shack or hardware store. The more strands that are in the wire, the better. Also make sure you have an inline fuse in the power wire between the amp and battery no matter what gauge you are gonna use. Being that its only 4ft, you probly could get away with it as song as its a GOOD power wire but as i stated earlier your putting your amp at risk.
