2006 pontiac g6 sedan, non amplified radio, just a basic cd player no onstar either

uncessful in my search, so here is my question, has anybody hard-wired an afermarket radio to one of these? if so, did you lose the door chime, and other features that you would loose if you dont use the C2R-GM111b?  also, is there a wiring diagram for the car itself???? i did find one for the 2005 cobalt i assume they would be the same, but who knows.

one more question, is teh V2R-GM11b the only option to use on this car???

thanks in advance...

You will lose the chime functions. You will have to find a switched 12 volt source in the fusebox. I feel your pain about having to shell out the 100 bucks or so for the adapter. If you insist on hard wiring it, make sure you cut it far enough back so you can reconnect the harness to put the factory radio back in the car.
