2009 Ford Escape Hybrid Remote Start - FYI

This is a tech tip for anyone trying to conquer a hybrid ford escape remote start install. ALL INFORMATION SHOULD BE VERIFIED AND NEVER ASSUMED PURE FACT THANKS! If your doing a hybrid ford escape you may find that the gas motor shuts down after a minute or so. To keep this from happenening and to warm up the car and to keep the gas engine running here is what we have found. If you use the status output from the remote start you are using that throws trigger during remote start use this wire to power up the headlights for remote start. Keeping the headlights on for remote start keeps the voltage draw high enough to keep the gas motor running during remote start.
